Summary: Ms. Sherman is the Program Manger of clinical studies and research involving bone densitometry and quantitative CT for the Breast & Bone Densitometry Group. She became a Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) in 1963 at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, VT. Following graduation, Ms. Sherman worked for 4 years at the Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, NY, in special procedures before relocating to UCSF;s radiology department in 1967. She joined the Osteoporosis and Arthritis Research Group in 1995 and the Breast and Bone Densiometry Group in 2003. In her 35 year tenure as a Radiological Technologist, she has worked in basically all aspects of radiological imaging including special procedures in neuro-radiology, bone densitometry, ultrasound, angiography and computed tomography. Mary has 5 peer reviewed publications and 10 abstract presentations. She as been awarded the best poster presentation at the ISCD’s annual meeting for the years 2001,2002, 2003, and 2004.
