Calculating %CV from RMS SD

We have recently completed a precision study at our institution and have started to use the [ISCD] precision calculator on your web site to determine the LSC. The results I obtained were in absolute terms (gm/cm2) which I understand is the ISCD recommendation.

There are however a number of publications and also a position paper of the ISCD which expresses the LSC in terms of %CV.

Would you advise us as to how to convert the results to % CV. My understanding is that I need to divide the RMS-SD by the Mean to do this. The RMS-SD is given in the results of the calculator but Im not sure the Mean is. Thank you for your help.

Ah, I needed the Advanced Calculator

Dr. Shepherd,

Thank you for your reply to my question to the ISCD regarding the precision calculator. It seems that I was using the standard precision calculator which gives the LSC only in terms of RMS-SD. After your e-mail I realized I needed to use the "advanced " calculator to get the CV and %CV.

Thanks again

FS

Both are provided in the precision tool

Dear Dr. SF,

Both RMS CV and RMS SD are given for each of the precision tools provided by the ISCD. An example is shown below.Screen Capture from ISCD tool
